Every single one of those photographs represent some part of our American culture that we are or want to share with other countries. Some are good American cultures in which I am proud to share it while the others represent how disgusting and cruel America can be. There are also some that portray both the good and as well as the bad culture of America. But that is America as we know it we love it and we hate it.
The photograph by Les Stone, Advertisement for Metropolitan Life Insurance sends out a positive aspect. Metropolitan Life Insurance is commonly known in America which means that America wants Taipei to have good and reliable life insurance. And because Snoopy doesn't really talk he is neutral, Snoopy can be advertised speaking in any language.
The Corbis Sygma poster of the film "Titanic" is in the middle. The aspect that i feel is being exported is mixed because while it is the story of how two Americans fall in love it also shows how we can be selfish and think only about our selves when facing a crisis.
Tatiana Markow's McDonald's in Shanghai photo sends a positive aspect as well. McDonald's is inexpensive and very delicious. Some even show favoritism it says America is thinking about Shanghai's wallets as well as their bellies. Koren Ziv's Nike in Jerusalem photo graph sends a positive aspect of America. Nike can be a bit costly at times but you have to spend money to save money. Their footwear as well as their clothing line is durable and comfortable for the many many people that do alot of walking in Jerusalem.
Alcohol is a door to America;s ugliest problems. The photo by John Van Hasselt, Advertising Budweiser is a negative aspect of America. There are very few people however they do exist who drink for great taste. Alot of America's population who drinks alcohol are teenagers who can't or don't know who to handle it. The message I get from this photo is beer makes America do some insane things lets make China do some ignorant things along with us. America is trying to relay positive aspects to other countries so that we can get along, however we sometimes relay negative ones because we export the wrong things.
