Week 5:Reading Response 3

The multiple audiences for "i am my anti-drug" are the ones who stereotypes, as well as the ones who are being stereotyped against. The advertisement is addressing the audience who judge people. Everyday people mostly young teenagers or young adults are being judged just by how they dress and the way they look, as well as the way they talk. The people doing the stereotyping don't care about who they judge and they don't care if they were wrong, well for about ten minutes they do, but it doesn't take them long to go back to judging. The invoked audience are the ones who are being stereotyped against. Everyday they have to worry about it, they get up and stress about what to wear, how to do their hair a certain way, and speak a certain way. After what feels to be an eternity of trying to please those who judge they still fall victim to it to them there's no escaping it. Then they think "well if they think i do it I might as well do it." They think if they look at them that way no matter what they do then they should be that way.
All three ads focus on illegal drug use, but there are three different types of audience that are being targeted. The first ad "He might dump me" targets people who have either family, friends, spouses, or couples who are using illegal drugs and that they should step up to the plate and say something, it could change alot . The second ad about "regret" targets the ones who uses drugs but have not gotten caught or into serious trouble yet. The last three are about people who are being stereotyped.
The "I am My Anti-Drug' is the most effective because the other two when faced in those situations are a lot harder to deal with it's a lot harder to act upon it. It also lets people know that it's okay to dress and look a certain way and still be successful, and also the people who judge that they may look like they use illegal drugs but that's not always the case. It is a general effective way because there are people who do take advice and put it to good use.
